23 weeks, February - July, full time

Program Location

BCIT Burnaby
* Students must attend a school for graduation requirements during first semester, then BCIT full time second semester.

Course Content

• safe work practices
• documentation & organizational skills
• tools & equipment (hand, power, pneumatic, power actuated)
• survey instruments
• site layout
• concrete formwork
• frame residential housing (walls, floors, stairs)
• building science

Credentials

• receive 16 credits (4 courses) at the Grade 12 level
• receive credit for Level 1 and 2 Technical Training with the ITA for your apprenticeship
• BCIT credits

Minimum Program Entry Requirements

• English 11 or Communications 11
• any Math 11
• physically able
• successful result of district entrance exam
